THE COLD HALF!
That rather chilly time of year has come round again, it is almost time for the mighty 'Cold Half' - HK's 15km Open Water Marathon swim! Last year coaches Hannah Wilson & Henry Wright came out on top and set the course record!
This year we are glad to announce that it has mustered up some more interest throughout the HWI team, and there are a number of HWI swimmers entering!
Coaches Hannah Wilson & Kevin Chow, Aneekah Styles & Jemima Ridley, and Angus Keheller & Samantha Morton are all doing the two person relay category. Starting at Stanley Main Beach each swimmer spends 30 minutes in the water and then swap around until you have reached the Boat Club on Middle Island - approximately 15km's away!
Coach Henry Wright has entered the 'Cold Standard' which means he will be doing the 'Cold Half' 15km as a solo swim, and then the next day he will be running the full 42km Standard Chartered Marathon! He is doing it on behalf of Hong Kong Dog Rescue, and so far has raised over $20,000!
