At the top level Hong Kong Open Swimming Championships at Victoria Park Swimming Pool this weekend HWI had 3 boys and 4 girls racing in individual and relay events, with heats in morning and finals in the afternoon. Great results for Aisling Haughey (19 yrs.); Aisling won Hong Kong Champion titles in all breaststroke events; the 100m Breaststroke in 1:11.28; 50m Breaststroke in 33.23, and 200m Breaststroke in 2:33.69. Kylie Woo (15 yrs.) won a bronze medal in the 200m backstroke in 2:28.23. Relay Medals with the SCA relay team; in the 4 X 100m IM girls; bronze for Aisling Haughey (Breaststroke in 1:11.40), Aneekah Styles (Backstroke in 1:12.35) and Kylie Woo (Butterfly in 1:11.40). Finalists in individual events included Jeffrey Chen; 4th in the 200m freestyle (1:57.46) and 8th in the 100 freestyle (53.19). Kylie Woo placed 7th in the 100m backstroke in 1:10.18. Nicole Evans; 7th place in the 800m freestyle in 9:36.82. Finalist in Relay events: Zai Xiang Ma and Jeffrey Chen in the 4 x 100 m freestyle and 4 X 100 m IM. Kylie Woo, Aisling Haughey and Aneekah Styles in 4 x 100 m freestyle. Congratulations to all HWI swimmers that were racing and achieving personal best times that weekend.
