Both Siobhan Haughey and Geoffrey Cheah competed for Hong Kong in sunny Santa Clara.

Geoffrey Cheah made it into A finals at the George Haines International Swim Center in the 50 m butterfly finishing in seventh place in 24.31 and clocking a 49.99 in the 100 m freestyle touching in eighth place.

Siobhan Haughey who was suffering from a biceps tendon inflammation of her right arm qualified for A finals in the 200 m IM and the 100 m freestyle on the last day of the meet. She decided to only race the 200 m IM final on Sunday due to her shoulder's condition. Siobhan finished in seventh place in a staged final including Hungarian superstar Katinka Hosszu, American Legend Caitlin Leverenz and Russian Olympic Gold Medal winner Yulia Efimova. Siobhan clocked 2:15.95 in a world class field of senior athletes.

Both Siobhan and Geoffrey hope to race at the World Championships in Kazan from August 3. to August 9. pending official announcement by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association.
