A GREAT time had by all at the splash in and awards at West Island School on Saturday 11th June. Please see link here to some photos taken by Alex De Chazal – thanks a lot Alex!! Many thanks to the coaches who organized and sorted the games; Kevin, Marvin, Adrian, Karen and Mike. Also thanks to Lucy Graham for organizing the pizza delivery which arrived just in time and to all those who brought in cookies, cake and fruit! All those who attended were presented with a certificate of appreciation, and Swimathon participation certificates were also handed to those swimmers who took part. The Award for most money raised at this year’s Swimathon was presented to Charlotte Chan (Yunah Frank also receives and award for most number of sponsors – but was not able to attend) The Mantas Awards were then presented to all those below who could attend – others will be presented at their training venue. We had to say a FOND FAREWELL to JEMIMA RIDLEY who has been a huge asset to the Mantas team over the last few years and will be sorely missed. We wish her all the best as she goes off to boarding school in Australia at the beginning of July. Lastly we said a HUGE THANKYOU to Sue Tan at her last official event as PRESIDENT. She has been very dedicated and hard working over the last 4 years and has always given 100% support to the club and all the swimmers. She will be greatly missed – thankyou to Ingrid Leven who has agreed to take on the role! Mantas Award Winners 2016; Brian Coak” (boys) “Overall Excellence in Swimming” Aidan Gan (10 yrs.)
