Harry Wright Charity Gala Raises HK$100,000 for Home of Loving Faithfulness

November 25, 2025

Harry Wright Swim School marked its 50th anniversary year with a special Charity Gala at the SCAA pool on Sunday 23 November 2025, bringing together Learn to Swim families for a fun and meaningful fundraising event. This was the second charity gala in the anniversary series, reinforcing the school’s commitment to giving back to the Hong Kong community.

Thanks to the generous support of participating families, and an additional contribution from Harry Wright Swim School, a total of HK$100,000 was donated to the Home of Loving Faithfulness (HOLF), a charity that provides lifelong residential care in a family-style environment for children and adults with severe intellectual and physical disabilities in Hong Kong. Matthew from HOLF attended the gala in person to receive the cheque on behalf of the organisation.

The HWI Charity Gala was open to children up to 12 years old in the Learn to Swim programme, giving many young swimmers their first taste of competition in a friendly, supportive setting. The event began with 4–5 year olds racing 10m widths of the pool, followed by older swimmers contesting 25m races in all four strokes, with every participant receiving a medal and Gold, Silver and Bronze awards presented for overall placings.

Harry Wright Swim School extends a warm congratulations to all children who took part and a special thank you to the parents who volunteered as timekeepers, helping to create a safe, well-run gala. Families who have not yet received their child’s medal will be able to collect it at their regular lesson, where coaches will arrange distribution.
