REPORT : DIVISION 2 P3 SC SATURDAY 8TH MARCH SHING MUN VALLEY SWIMMING POOL This meet was the last Short Course Division 2 Meet of the 2024-2025 season.
HWI-SCA sent a big team to race at this competition. The meet had such a large number of entries, the HKGSA had to postpone the 50 Back for the afternoon age groups due to time constraints. Many of our swimmers were participating in an HKGSA competition for the first time. This was a great learning experience! Everyone performed very well achieving personal best times and some moving to Division 2 level for their event.
Report by Coach Chui Wai ChunThis competition is the highest level one in Hong Kong for Age group swimmers. HWI-SCA team was represented by our elite Performance swimmers from all age groups in both individual and relay events. Everyone performed well and achieved good results for the team.
The final Short Course Division 1 meet of the 2024-2025 HKGSA season at Victoria Park Swimming Pool was a resounding success for our Harry Wright-SCA team. With stellar performances across the board, our athletes brought home several accolades in competitive swimming.
The Division 2, Part 2 Short Course meet, hosted by HWI-SCAA, was a remarkable event, with the club taking its turn to support the HKGSA officials. Thanks to the dedication of numerous parents and swimmers who volunteered as staff, the competition ran exceptionally well. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed! Coach Chui Wai Chun did an outstanding job coordinating volunteers and organising on the day.
The first competition of the year 2025, saw a Bronze place medal for Performance swimmer Harry Ko at the HKGSA Open Water competition at Tai Mei Tuk. Harry swam in the 3.3 km race, under the 13 & over Men’s competition. A great result for Harry in a very tough race!
Please be advised that the SCAA pool will undergo maintenance from 16th January to the end of February. During this period, the pool will be closed to public members.
